A Melbourne Rising Star

The newly appointed sous chef at Hare and Grace is differently one to look out for in the future. Buddha as he is known already has touch, grace and passion and working under the likes of Raymond Capaldi and Adam liston he will learn the skills to become a top flight chef.
Photos are of Buddha’s dishes he is entering in this year’s Electrolux Appetite for Excellence.
If you watch the slide show at the top you will see one of Adam Liston scallop dishes that he entered in 2009, photography by yours truly.

Janet De Neefe and The Penny’s Hill crew, team up for March’s Twos Company Lunch at Mclaren Vale. Chef Ben Sommariva perfectly executed five dishes chosen from Janet’s Latest book, Bali food from my home land.
The event was to help raise funds for the newly formed Mud Club. Chaired by Penny’s Hill owner Tony Parkinson, The Mud Club is a no-for-profit association formed to ensure long term financial support for the ubud and Adelaide writers’ week.
